Presented in cooperation with the Community Oncology Program at CancerCare Manitoba, and the University of Manitoba, Cancer Day for Primary Care is a biennial full day education symposium dedicated to topics at the interface of primary care and oncology. This year will include lectures and panel presentations to provide attendees with practical and relevant information about curative-intent and palliative therapy for breast and gastrointestinal cancers, workup and support services for pediatric cancer patients.
The 14th Annual Cancer Day for Primary Care was held on May 10, 2019 at the Frederic Gaspard Theatre in the Basic Medical Sciences Building, University of Manitoba. Topics focused on immune-oncology and provided practical and relevant information about the application of immunotherapies in cancer treatment, the management of immune-related adverse events, and the current and future directions for these promising treatments.
