Community Cancer Care 2017 Educational Conference

Community Cancer Care 2017 Agenda

This program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Manitoba office for up to 11.00 Group Learning credits. It has been accredited for a maximum of 10.00 CEU by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba for pharmacists in Manitoba and Category "A" credits for Radiation Technologists in Manitoba.

Thursday afternoon Cancer is Different for Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA) Interactive Workshop will be facilitated by the Canadian Task Force on AYA with Cancer members:

  • Dr. Anne Katz, Clinical Nurse Specialist & Sexuality Counsellor
  • Ian Scott, AYA Psychosocial Oncology Clinician

Friday morning focuses on Lung Cancer and its treatment. Friday afternoon will cover medical cannabis, practical health equity, specialization targeted breakout sessions, and "short snappers" on topics of interest to a multidisciplinary audience. This annual provincial conference brings Oncology healthcare professionals together to participate in innovative learning and networking opportunities. We hope to see you there!
