Cancer Prevention

The annual number of new cancer cases continues to rise in Manitoba. In 2016, 6,481 Manitobans were diagnosed with cancer, and in 2035 we expect to see about 10,000 new cancer cases – that’s an increase of over 50%.

There’s good news though - experts are now saying that for every 10 cases of cancer, 4 can be prevented
(in 2015, that was around 2,500 cancer cases in Manitoba that could have been prevented)!

There are lifestyle factors that you can change in your own life and influence in the lives of your loved ones.
These choices can reduce your risk of cancer by up to 50%.

Here's how you can reduce your risk!
